Why does EAN-13 / EAN-8 / UPC-A show an error for my value?
EAN-13 requires exactly 13 digits, EAN-8 requires exactly 8 digits, and UPC-A requires exactly 12 digits. Also, the last digit of each is a checksum calculated from the other digits — if it does not match, the barcode is invalid. Use CODE128 if you need a flexible format that accepts any text or number without strict length rules.
